Element Cafe

**Fall 2018 – Element Cafe Begins Tuesday, August 14th**

Parents & Students alike, welcome to Element Cafe! This is one of our “flagship” programs, offering middle school students a place to connect and belong. Our hope is every student would enter this place knowing that they have a haven in Element, and that they are known by caring adults and staff.

Below you will find a few “frequently asked questions” pertaining to Element Cafe as well as a link to download the Element Cafe Parent Packet. This packet serves as registration for students to participate in Element Cafe, so it is critical that every student and parent reviews, completes and returns this packet by their student’s third (3rd) visit to Element Cafe.

What Days/Times Is Element Cafe Open?

Element Cafe is open every Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:00 – 5:30 PM for middle school students. Please note that we follow the Homewood City School Calendar, including any weather related closures.

Does Element Cafe Cost Anything?

No and Yes. Each day, we ask for “a dollar ($1) at the door” which help offset some of the cost of having an open and safe environment. Our concession stand is open each day from 3:00-5:00pm, most items costing only 50 cents. However, we will never turn away any student. All students are always welcome to be a part of any and all ministries at Trinity UMC.

We do not go to Trinity/Element. Can my student still participate in Element Cafe?

Yes! This is not a Trinity thing, this is a God thing. Any and all ministries of our church are open to all students, regardless of your “home” church or attendance in any church.

How can we learn more about your student ministry and church?

Simply go to elementstudentministry.com/about-us/ as well as trinitybirmingham.com. If you ever have questions about our student ministry and church, please contact Robert Sturdivant, our youth pastor, at rsturdivant@trinitybirmingham.com.
